Add-On Options / Specialty Camps

Climbing - Campers will spend five hours during the week learning skills to use on camp’s 36 foot climbing tower, while also learning knot-tying, equipment safety guidelines, and more advanced skills.
Available: June 7-12 (Venture/Frontier); July 5-10 (Trails/Venture); July 26-31 (Quest/Trails). Cost: $50 Drama - For one hour each day these campers will prepare a short one-act play which they will perform at the end of the week. They will learn about stage instructions and public speaking. Available: June 21-26 (Trails/Venture); July 26-31 (Quest/Trails). Cost: $25 First Aid/CPR - American Red CrossTM Pediatric/Adult First Aid/CPR course taken over six hours during the week. Successful completion will result in a 2-year certification. Available: June 7-12 (Venture/Frontier). Cost: $50 |

Guitar Lessons - Basic introduction to guitar skills will be taught one hour each day. Campers will learn strumming patterns and fingering for simple cords to songs in the camp songbook. Bring your own guitar or borrow one of the limited number of guitars at camp.
Available: July 5-10 (Trails/Venture); July 12-17 (Quest/Trails). Cost: $25 Horse Trail Rides - Campers will be transported to a nearby horse ranch for one hour trail rides twice during the week. Close-toed shoes are a must, helmets encouraged. Available: June 7-12 (Venture/Frontier); June 14-19 (Quest/Trails); June 21-26 (Trails/Venture). Cost: $125 |

Kayaking - These campers will spend a couple of hours during the first few days of camp learning how to maneuver their kayak and how to right an overturned kayak. Then towards the end of the week they will complete the “Chain-of-Lakes Challenge” by kayaking all five lakes connected to camp. Campers must meet deep water swim standards to participate.
Available: June 14-19 (Quest/Trails); July 12-17 (Quest/Trails); July 19-24 (Journey/Quest). Cost $25 Jr. Kayaking - Same as kayaking but without the five lake challenge for the shorter session. Available June 28-July 1 (Journey/Quest). Cost $10 Sailing - An introduction to sailing, learning how to rig and operate a small (2 person) sail boat on the lake for five hours during the week. Campers must meet deep water swim standards to participate. Available: June 7-12 (Venture/Frontier); June 21-26 (Trails/Venture); July 5-10 (Trails/Venture); July 26-31 (Quest/Trails). Cost: $50 |

Sports - Not necessarily an advanced sports camp for any specific sport, but for those who simply love sports: one hour each day in a different activity.
Available: June 14-19 (Quest/Trails); July 19-24 (Journey/Quest). Cost: $25 Survivor - For the truly adventurous campers this is the ultimate opportunity. Early in the week learn basic outdoor skills: orienteering, crafting shelters, building campfires, etc. Then later in the week put your skills to the test with an overnight campout in the woods. Available: July 5-10 (Trails/Venture); July 12-17 (Quest/Trails). Cost: $25 |

Swim Lessons - An introduction to basic swimming strokes and treading water. Spend an extra hour each day in the lake.
Available: July 12-17 (Quest/Trails); July 19-24 (Journey/Quest). Cost: $25 Jr. Swim Lessons - Same as above for the shorter session. Available: June 28-July 1 (Explorer/Journey/Quest). Cost: $10 |
All add-on options have a minimum and maximum number of participants. In the unlikely event an add-on is cancelled, the amount of the add-on option will be refunded to the account, but the week of camp is not cancelled or refunded.
