Our HistoryThe idea of establishing a Lutheran camp was hatched in the minds of a few members of the Lutheran Layman's League in 1955. They saw the need to create a space where children, youth, and families could grow deeper in their faith while being surrounded in God's creation. From there Camp Concordia was born in 1957 as a place where children, youth, and families could Encounter Christ in Creation—Be Transformed by Grace—Go Light the World. In Camp Concordia's 70 years of ministry thousands of campers, families, and staff have built relationships that they have treasured throughout their lives.

Our Campaign Mission
Who We ServeROOTED IN FAITH -- in response to God's love and grace, Camp Concordia welcomes approximately 600 people each year through various programs. From summer camp to outdoor education to retreats the message of faith is shared with all who enter Camp Concordia's gates.

The Camp ImpactCamp Concordia has impacted thousands of lives. Each person who comes to camp is encouraged to serve the Lord throughout their life; some as lay leaders in the church, many others as professional church workers. Camp Concordia hopes to inspire Christian Leaders for generations to come.

Why Now?Thousands of campers have
called Camp Concordia their summer home. Additions and small improvements have been made over the years, but much of the camp’s facilities are close to their original form. After years of discussions and planning, the time has come to improve the camp for today’s campers and those to come -- BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE.

Our Campaign Goal
|
$750,000 - GROUNDBREAKING GOAL
Build a year-round double-cabin that will provide 24 occupants
with new bunkhouses and restrooms and a common meeting area. This new cabin design will be the first of its kind for our summer campers and replace the need for two existing cabins. It will also provide an opportunity for churches and schools to use this ministry spacefor retreats or events throughout the year. |
$1.5 MILLION - CELEBRATION GOAL
Add another similarly constructed cabin which will
accommodate an additional 24 campers – Double the blessing. These two cabins would replace the cabins on the north side of the current cabin circle. |
After these two goals are met, Camp Concordia will pursue the construction of two more of these new cabins, completing the renovation of the cabin circle, with housing for 96 campers, utilizing 16 new showers, sinks and toilets. From here the goal would be to add more updates to the lodge for Camp Concordia to continue it's year round mission.
