About
Begun in 1957 by the Grand Valley Camp Association of the Lutheran Laymen's League, Camp Concordia continues to fulfill its mission. Camp Concordia exists to provide opportunities for children, youth and families to encounter Christ in the midst of God's Creation; enriching body and soul and resulting in strong missional skills and actions. With the guidance of trained enthusiastic counselors who love Jesus, campers experience God's infinite love for them and gain respect for each other through Bible adventures and activities such as archery, canoeing, swimming, cookouts, campouts, riflery, hikes, devotions, campfire singing, creative field games, "The Wave" night, stream stomping, and team initiatives.
Summer overnight children's and youth camps are places to engage in new friendships. Bring a friend or a neighbor with you. Until late September of each year, a group retreat is also a possibility. Our nine bunkhouse style cabins, east meeting room and dining hall (lodge) are perfect for youth groups and adventurous adult groups. Camp Concordia is privileged to be a Recognized Service Organization of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod; and a current member of Christian Camp and Conference Association (CCCA). Camp Concordia is also in process of working on its accreditation through the American Camping Association. At Camp Concordia...it's all about the kids, faith and future! |
