Family & Group Campground

The Camp Concordia Family Campground is available for group retreats from churches, youth groups, schools, etc. which have an approved agenda that aligns with the mission of Camp Concordia. It is important to note, however, that the campground is NOT Camp Concordia's primary purpose (which is being a summer children's camp and other children's ministries). This means that even though there is electricity at each site, not everything might be working perfectly.

The Family Campground is located in the center of the property on
Half-Mile Lake. The 18 wooded sites all have electric, a picnic table and a fire ring. There is a campground showerhouse on the south end of the sites - all sites are within a short walking distance. As was stated, the campground is NOT Camp Concordia's focus, but if your organized group needs this place of ministry, especially if it supports the mission of our children's ministry, we will do our best to make it available. Be sure to see the Family Campground Policies below to help you in your planning.

Camp Concordia Facilities could be available for church and school groups on weekends when Summer Camps are not in session (Summer Camp Schedule). A Group Contact/Leader may call the Camp Concordia Office at 616-754-3785 for estimated cost and current availability of the Family Campground and Base Camp Retreat Facilities. For additional information please see Family Camps Overview.

Deposit: 50% of overnight fees is required to reserve campsites (non-refundable)

See Site Dimensions when choosing sites to accommodate your group's tents, trailers or RVs.

Check-in / Check-out
  • Check-in and check-out times are arranged by the Group Leader in the User Agreement on behalf of the group. Groups are welcome to arrange for times that accommodate their programs - be sure to let your participants know the correct times.

Picnic Pavilion "Exclusive Use" Rental
  • The pavilion is normally open to all campground users. If your group would like to have exclusive use on specific days, the "exclusive use" should be negotiated in the User Agreement.
  • An "exclusive use" pavilion agreement allows for use of the pavilion, pavilion bathrooms, family campground playground and swim area (Group must provide certified Lifeguards for children unless other arrangements have been made).

To Make Group Reservations Summer Overview

Camp Concordia Family Campground Policies
Camp Concordia (CC) is primarily a Christian children’s camp. Your use of the Family Campground, including additional donations, supports this ministry. The CC Campground has 18 sites with electric hook-ups that mostly work (some with water & sewer), bath house, pavilion, waterfront, trails, and play area. Our purpose is to provide an atmosphere where campers and families can come to know & follow Jesus.
  • As a Christian camp, we request our guests reflect exceptional family values (i.e., kindness and respect for neighbors) — disruptive conduct may result in immediate removal.
  • Youth Camp facilities are off limits (to the south beyond parking lot). Sign up for scheduled activities with your Camp Host. Please inform your children.
  • Children must have adult supervision at all times—even closer at the waterfront. (Group are responsible for providing certified Lifeguards for children unless other arrangements have been made). Observe posted rules.
  • Observe the posted 10 mph speed limit on camp — for the safety of all our campers.
  • One vehicle per campsite. All other vehicles should be parked in the CC parking lot.
  • One RV, trailer or tent per site. Extra tents may be setup for minor, unmarried children only.
  • Fires are permitted only in existing fire rings and must be attended. Make sure all fires are fully extinguished before retiring/leaving campsite. No outside wood allowed (emerald ash bore warning).
  • Pets are not allowed at Camp Concordia.
  • Garbage: Please recycle first. Place bagged garbage in dumpster north of the campground and leave your fire pits clean.
  • Quiet time is from 11:00 p.m.—7:00 a.m. Guests should be at their sites.
  • Music, radios, etc. should stay contained to your site and not heard by neighboring sites.
  • Please use alcohol only at your campsite.
  • We kindly request all smoking be restricted to your site. Please do not leave butts in fire rings (clean up after yourself).
  • Illegal/Controlled substances are not allowed at CC and may result in Police involvement.
  • The Pavilion, when available, may be used for quiet gatherings and fellowship. Roller blades, bicycles, remote cars/toys, etc. are not permitted. For group rental please contact the camp office.
  • Bicycles are limited to road ways and trails.
  • Damage of campsites or camp rental equipment, due to negligent behavior, will be billed to those responsible at the cost of repair or replacement plus 20% (administrative fees).
  • Nature: Take only pictures. Leave only footprints.
