WCLA Information

Camp Concordia is happy to be part of the Woodbeck Chain of Lakes Association and excited to be part of have a set of healthy and safe chain of lakes for families, fisher-people, and swimmers.
REQUIRED for 2022
PLEASE print, complete and return the WCLA Indemnity & Release Form prior to making arrangements for your boat launch use at Camp Concordia. Thank you for your help (this is for insurance purposes). This is a ANNUAL requirement.
WCLA Boat Launch Dates
The Camp Concordia boat launch is NOT open to the public, but it is available to WCLA members so they can easily get their boats into and out of the water. Camp Concordia (CC) is a non-profit children's summer camp; therefore, access is coordinated and limited for the safety of children.  CC does NOT get paid for WCLA members using camp's private land. It is offered to paid members who follow the procedures as requested.*
NOTE: Please do NOT pay your WCLA membership fee and then plan to use the launch in the next hour.
Camp needs 24 hours notice.
Thank you.
Boat Launch Use Procedures
(Email Camp Concordia 24 hours in advance)
1. Indemnity & Release Form: Print, complete and return the WCLA Indemnity & Release Form every year, prior to making arrangements for your boat launch.
2. Check the Boat Launch Calendar (below) for dates and times when the Boat Launch is available for use by members of the Lake Association.
3. **Email Camp Concordia in advance (at least the day before) when you plan to use CC's boat launch. Email launch@campconcordia.org (Subject: LAUNCH) only with following information:
  • Member name
  • Member phone number
  • Color, make, and model of vehicle(s) camp staff will see on camp and/or the name of the company delivering your craft (example: Blue Jeep Wrangler). If you need to bring additional vehicles, they MUST also be identified.
  • Day and time you plan to use the launch – or the day & time the company delivering or picking up your craft plans to be on site (example: May 20th at 6:00 pm). If it changes just email again.
Example (Please keep SIMPLE for camp calendar.)

           616.123.4567
           White, Chevy Suburban
               Mootsies Boat Shop
           May 21, 6:00 pm

(You will receive a confirmation email.)
4. Be sure you have the current combination for the lock. You have received this as a WCLA member. If you do not have the current combination, contact your Lake Association Board of Directors representative.
5. Be sure to have your driver's license and willingly show it to camp staff.
REMEMBER!!          IMPORTANT!!
  • Abide by the 10mph speed limit & directional signs
  • ALWAYS close the entrance gate to the camp behind you on the way in & on the way out.
  • At launch area back your boat trailer in, (do NOT pull your vehicle up the hill as it damages the property.) Basically, stay on the roads. Thanks.
  • Replace the Association Lock and chain when finished.
  • If any damage is accidentally incurred to the property, or you see any suspicious activity, please contact the Camp Director right way at 616-754-3785.
* What does it mean by "follow the procedures as requested"? In the past, some users have cut the lock, broken the lock with a hammer, yelled at CC staff, shown up without telling us, left property gates open, left ramp lock unlocked "for a friend," bent the posts at the launch, hit the dock and not fixed it. We appreciate your care and concern for the property.
